“Bend over and touch your toes” brings many images to mind. As age creeps upon us baby boomers “Bend over and touch your toes” becomes the action for the fountain of youth.  As the age scale moves upward soreness, stiffness and pain creeps into the body, especially the hips, knees and ankles.

In the past few years I have pulled snapped or hurt my SI joint in both hips.  Unfortunately, the pain from a pinched sciatic nerve is not isolated to the hip.  The corresponding knee hurts so bad I can’t drive a car.  Then I move a hip and the pain temporally goes away.  The knee pain hurts when I take off my shoes or any activity requiring foot pressure.  Nothing wrong  with the knee, just pressure on the sciatic nerve.  

Stretching is the only cure.  A couple of weeks of Plaits with lots of bend over and touch your toes cures the pain.  To keep yourself feeling young Bend over and touch your toes at every opportunity.</description>
